Mrs. Sabriyah Lailla Smith is pursuing her Master's Degree in Education in Early Childhood & Special Education. She will be attending Niagara University. Mrs. Smith works at United HealthCare as a Clinical Administrative Coordinator.
Mrs. Smith is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Our Curls, Inc. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She is the Founder of the Facebook group WNY Community Bulletin Board which seeks to promote African American business, news, and events throughout WNY.
Sessione heyward

Sessione Heyward is a family man focused on building this future. He is a father of 2 and uses his family to fuel his ambition. He is training to be a Dental Hygienist at the University at Buffalo. Sessione is excited to be back in school and pursuing a career. He looks forward to the labs and hands on learning.
Carter B. Jones
2021 Buffalo Enlightenment Scholarship $250
Carter Jones is a Buffalo native with aspirations of being an Engineer. In high school he was a student athlete while participating in the Kenmore-Tonawanda Union Free School District's Engineering Academy for four years and obtained his Certified Training Endorsement in Engineering.
He will take the next step in his academic journey at the University of Buffalo where he was accepted into their Aerospace Engineering program. One day he would like to help make a difference as an employee of an organization that is a member of the AIA (or Aerospace Industries Association).
Geneva Brown
2018 “BEYOND” Scholarship

Geneva Bell is an aspiring Chef who graduated from Erie Community College. She missed her graduation to travel to Positano,Italy to complete a 2 month culinary internship. Upon returning, she has began working on establishing her catering business. Known to friends and family as GiGi, she is very active in her local church where is volunteers at their soup kitchen. She is a proud adult learner returning to school after raising her 2 children.

Alexis French
2018 Buffalo
Enlightenment Scholarship
$250
Alexis French is a graduate of Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart high school. She received this scholarship for undergraduate studies and will be attending Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama. She will be majoring in Political Science with a concentration in International Studies. Additionally, Alexis will be studying Arabic at the University of Alabama.
Her interest in international policy and development began during the Spring of 2016 when she had the opportunity to meet with the former Director of National Security, James C. Clapper. In high school, Alexis was involved Cooking for a Cause Club, American Sign Language Club, and was the President of the Donate Life Club.
Through her involvement in these clubs, Alexis gained prudent Leadership Skills that will be essential in becoming a global leader.In the future, Alexis will further her education by attending law school and becoming a Business Contract Attorney. When Alexis is not volunteering in various church ministries she enjoys traveling, playing basketball and reading.
